Potato Day at the Organic Centre is an event that we have always been involved in in some way.

Years ago Mike used to work in the café at the centre and himself and the other chefs there would make wonderful potato-themed dishes for the day.

My contribution was running activities for children and my favourite was making potato people with them. I would read a wonderful story by Pamela Allen called 'The Potato People' and then I would give them a chance to make their own potato person using 2 potatoes, pins, sticks, festhers, bits of cloth and googly eyes! It was always really popular and loads of fun.

This year there will be no potato people but we will be there serving up a delicious potato-inspired menu. Do pop in to see us!
